Ultra Youthful
Your body knows how to create beautiful, healthy skin. Sometimes it just needs a little… motivation. Ultherapy in San Juan at NUMED Medical Aesthetics Center delivers this motivation in the form of tightly focused bursts of ultrasound energy. When administered properly by our highly-trained Ultherapy treatment specialists can use Ultherapy to jump-start your body’s natural ability to produce collagen, one of the key building blocks of healthy skin. AT NUMED we strive to deliver the best Ultherapy Carolina has to offer. Schedule your consultation today to learn more about this revolutionary non-surgical procedure.
Sound Science
Ultherapy is a fascinating way to use the power of ultrasound technology to achieve an uplifting effect on your skin. Ultherapy uses precise digital technology to pinpoint areas just beneath your skin and selectively apply focused sound waves, stimulating the body’s natural healing properties. Unlike other treatment options, Ultherapy bypasses the skin completely in this process, making it a truly non-surgical therapy with visible results.
A wave of youthful energy
Ultherapy triggers the production of healing proteins like collagen beneath the skin. As the proteins spread throughout the layers of the skin, they create a firming, youthful, uplifting effect. This new collagen lifts skin along the brow, neck, and chin. It can also smooth skin along the chest.
This natural regenerative effect is gradual but visible and long-lasting. It’s a subtle, non-surgical method of restoring a more youthful silhouette with no downtime. Ultherapy is also long-lasting. Because it works by kickstarting the body’s natural collagen production, you can expect your results to last for months or, in some cases, up to a year. This makes Ultherapy an incredible “once a year” treatment to keep your skin looking younger for years to come.
Good Vibrations
Most healthy adults are good candidates for Ultherapy. However, it is important that you still have some skin elasticity in the treatment area for Ultherapy to be effective. If you’re starting to notice a little sagging in the skin around your face, neck, or chest, come in for a consultation to see if Ultherapy might be effective for you.
The magic hour
Ultherapy doesn’t require a lot of special preparation before your treatment, and a session usually takes between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the areas you want treated. During your session, your trained Ultherapy specialist will deliver bursts of focused energy to specific places along the treatment area to maximize their effectiveness. You may experience a tingling sensation, although the comfort level varies from person to person. After treatment, our Carolina Ultherapy patients are free to go and resume normal activities immediately. No downtime!
Simple. Stress-free.
There is no downtime with Ultherapy. You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. The most common side effects are redness and tingling at the treatment site, but these usually resolve by themselves within a few hours of treatment. This makes Ultherapy a fantastic “Friday treatment,” where you can take a little extra time for yourself and start your weekend on the path to feeling and looking fabulous!
Look forward to the mirror
Because Ultherapy works by ramping up your collagen levels, you will not see results immediately. However, as your body builds up collagen production, you will see a gradual improvement in the weeks and months following treatment. You will love looking in the mirror each day and watching your skin go back in time! Full results usually take two to three months to appear and last for up to a year between treatments, making Ultherapy with annual touch-up treatments a long-lasting way to preserve your youthful glow.

While everyone’s comfort level is different, most of our Carolina Ultherapy patients say that treatment feels like a tingle or a warm sensation. There is also the possibility of some residual tingling for a short time after the procedure, but patients rarely refer to the experience as painful.
Ultherapy is a remarkable low-risk treatment. The most common side effects are residual redness, tingling, or tenderness around the treatment area, which tend to resolve themselves within a few hours.
The biggest difference between Ultherapy and laser skin rejuvenation is that the treatment method for Ultherapy is primarily beneath the skin. Laser skin rejuvenation does an incredible job at resurfacing the skin and generating new collagen, but it still requires impacting the skin to make that happen. Because of that, laser skin rejuvenation also takes care of blemishes and other imperfections of the skin, such as acne or scarring in some cases.
Ultherapy is a treatment that primarily addresses skin laxity (looseness of the skin) through collagen therapy. Because it does not impact the skin, it requires less downtime and does not treat as many issues that pop up on the skin's surface. At NUMED, our aesthetic treatment specialists have expert training on numerous laser and energy treatment devices. When you come in for your consultation, we’ll be able to listen to your concerns, review your skin health, and recommend the appropriate treatment plan to meet your goals.
Ultherapy is a cosmetic treatment and is not covered by insurance.
