While CoolSculpting effectively and substantially reduces fat, it is not a weight loss treatment. The CoolSculpting Elite is quick, easy, and straightforward. While you lie back comfortably, your providing physician will select the best applicator for your concerns. They will then use the applicator to place rolls of isolated fat between two cooling panels that will essentially freeze excess fat cells. What Happens if I Gain Weight Down the Road?
You will see a noticeable change in treated areas within about 3-4 weeks after your treatment. However, your results will continue to develop for several weeks or months after that as your body metabolizes and eliminates the treated fat cells. However, just like with any sort of body contouring procedure, permanent results from CoolSculpting are not guaranteed. While fat cells destroyed during the CoolSculpting process cannot return, remaining fat cells will continue to swell or shrink with significant weight change. Each CoolSculpting session takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size, location, and number of areas that are being targeted.
During each treatment, about 25-30% of the fat will be eliminated, so you may require multiple treatments, depending on the nature of your concerns and your goals for treatment. Most patients undergo a series of one to six sessions spaced one month apart. For the treatment of larger areas like the abdomen, you should expect to treat the area at least twice for the best possible results.
